Host Notes:

I was an atheist first when I made my journey from believer to non-believer. I just didn’t believe in a god. I also didn’t believe in the entire religious industrial complex with scores of locations in my town and encroaching in my school district.

Sure it was fun to partake in some free pizza while my friends gave me their testimony but I was there for the pizza.

I wanted to do more than just be anti-religious. I wanted to solve problems and fix the world. I found Humanism.

I do see American Atheists trying to flesh out their philosophy to include social justice issues because a lot of those issues have roots in the religious industrial complex. American Atheists are a good friend and partner to Humanism. — Douglas
